FETI TRAINING
AZ Post Certified

Yavapai- Apache Attorneys Office and Victim Witness Services are proud to announce a training opportunity featuring Russell Strand on September 25th and 26th.

  • Russell Strand developed a new interview technique called FETI  (Forensic Experiential Trauma Interview   CLICK HERE for more  ).   Taking into consideration Dr. Campbell’s work the neurobiology of trauma,  Russell is able to articulate a simple “way” to talk to victims and gather much needed evidence to paint a picture that can better lead to the administration of justice and how to investigate recantations.

When we consider attrition rates for Sexual Assault,  we know that we can do better- here is one way in which we can do that!  This training is for first responders (Law Enforcement,  Prosecution,  Medical Professionals and  Advocates), but we welcome others!   This training is AZ Post Certified.

"Russ is highly regarded within the community and is a handful of these professionals that continually does outstanding work," Archambault said. "So selecting him and what he has contributed was easy."

The End Violence Against Women International 2012 Visionary Award will be presented to Strand during the EVAW National Conference in San Diego, Calif., on April 2, 2012.

"EVAW International has been a true pioneer in the development and research of innovative new policies and techniques," Strand said. "As the first military professional to receive this award, this recognition also supports phase four of the Army Sexual Assault Campaign plan of "Lead the Nation."

Taste of Flagstaff

We are excited to announce The 18th Annual “A Taste of Flagstaff” to be held on October 23, 2017 at Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club (3850 Lariat Loop, Flagstaff, AZ 86005). This event is considered one of our community’s premiere celebrations, consisting of food samplings from over 20 local restaurants, live musical entertainment, and silent and live auctions.

Most importantly, this event benefits Victim Witness Services for Coconino County, whose mission is to offer compassionate support and resources to victims, witnesses, and survivors of crime and crisis within Coconino County. There is no doubt that our services are essential to the community and your help is much needed and deeply appreciated.
